here's a teaser image for an upcoming video
Byron and I shot in Queensland recently for the
very sweet and very amazing charlie mayfair..im
very excited about this one because it marks a massive
shift in my usual video style..gone is the whimsy and the
playfulness and this one centers more on atmosphere and
very heavily on emotion..im very keen to show it off in a few
weeks from now..

this is an image i have been holding on to for
tin sparrow for a while..contacted over a year ago
to do some EP art work i worked a variation of this image
up for them..but as the band have done the smart thing and
taken their time making their EP as great as it can be
its been gathering dust for a while..but im very happy to
say this amazing sydney band is about to release their debut
EP and this surreal , semi biblical image can be unveiled ..

sneak peek-a-boo

so after months of work on this my latest
boy and bear video for feeding line premiered
on triple j's website on friday..which was very
exciting having them show the first look at it..
it goes online on the youtubes and itunes tomorrow
but i decided to find my john west moments from the
clip and put up some stills from it..this was such
a big part of my life this year..it feels really
good to have it out there and not in my head




















this concept is one i have kept for a few years now
like a little trump card up my sleeve so i am so happy
to have it attached to this band and this song..i feel like
it finally found the right house...

in the immortal words of enya...

sail away sail away sail away....
so for some reason i got hung up on the
idea or pun of wavey hair and while looking
through pics of 20's silent actress' for another
project i couldnt help but not the extreme amount
of waves in their hair..thus my pea brain decided
to put little sail boats on them...so like liquid
gets into this chalk...boom this poster was born

meet me down the sock hop

this was a pure joy doing this ..one i had been
working on the same concept for someone else for
a few weeks and this job was emailed to me to be done
quick and with the theme of the night i thought
it would be fun just to do something concept free and
just really embrace this style and era of design...
both client and i walked away happy...crazy!

me and the videos and art i do for the boys
i find it amusing that dave uses my real name
of jeff gordon and not my bs artname of jefferton
which he uses when we are face to face

I honestly think this vomiting ocean head is the
weirdest fucking thing i have ever done..and they
loved it

cooking up a big pot of stu

fried and mega brill muso stu larsen , whom
i had postered before in the past asked me to
art direct his ep..so i jumped at the chance to
do some design work that didnt involve some kinda
goofball idea from my head...using his wonderful
photos to steer me ..we are both very happy with
this result..its feels very personal..

there will be blood

i had the utmost fun doing this..
taking a dive bomb into something
really fucked up was a joy and im
lucky this band is the kind that supports
it..and always have..based the the tale of
the titular character i decided to increase
the blood shed to flood levels...once i started
it was rather hard to stop..there was temptation
to have humans and livestock floating in there but
for reasons of good taste i restrained myself

heres a sneak peek still from the upcoming
boy and bear video ..shot all around the us
during the month of april and may....

heres a video i did back in
feb..was so much fun working
with them again and with the lovely
lisa mitchell who also features on the
song..i shot it solo and aimed it have it
look like a developing polaroid..or as we now
know it hipstamatic...they have such a chilled
70's folk vibe i thought it seemed fitting.

city..love these guys and it as an honour shooting
this videa all around nsw and southern victoria..ps
the beach where dave sings is used in where the wild
things are and was chosen pretty much because of that
reason..hope you enjoy
