that old black magic

& company is a great art and
design company that have these
awesome themed gallery nights .
this time is was food and as i
believe that food has some weird
mystical hold over people , i thought
it would be fun and apt to make a old
witch doctor photo out of fruit and veg..
i wanted it to look like an old found
photo so i gave it a thorough photoshopping..






andrew did this great eye pose
out of nowhere and it freaked me out
so i got him to do it again and this
is the result

my crooked world

i was surprised and delighted to get
asked for not one but three posters
for upcoming crooked fiddle shows..
some of these ideas , like the elephant,
are ideas i have puttered around with
for a while but the dog faced girl is
a recent obsession i had after watching
a very mediocre film about diane arbis..
in a way that poster is my arbis ode

return to lighthouse island continued

and now for something completely different

it would seem all i have done of
late is make boy and bears video
but alas , not true , i have also
been working on other jobs like
australian music co-ops big night
at the gaelic..



i wanted these posters to have a playfullness
of the french new wave cinema .



I have also been working on jackie
marshalls latest album..this was more
a layout design job rather than crazy
concept..i was given the photo and asked
to make it aged..so i tried to make it
like a cross between a blue note album cover
and something early 90's..

god...this stuff even though it gets
little screen time was some of the most
enjoyable things to do..
